Having endured his legendary twelve labors, Hercules, the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace and his daughter seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord.

Fourteen hundred years BCE, a tormented soul walked the earth that was neither man nor god. Hercules was the powerful son of the god king Zeus, for this he received nothing but suffering his entire life. After twelve arduous labours and the loss of his family, this dark, world-weary soul turned his back on the gods finding his only solace in bloody battle. Over the years he warmed to the company of six similar souls, their only bond being their love of fighting and presence of death. These men and women never question where they go to fight or why or whom, just how much they will be paid. Now the King of Thrace has hired these mercenaries to train his men to become the greatest army of all time. It is time for this bunch of lost souls to finally have their eyes opened to how far they have fallen when they must train an army to become as ruthless and blood thirsty as their reputation has become.

Movie Parental Guide

nudity 5/10 A newborn baby boy's genitals is shown (full frontal while being carried) at the very beginning of movie. A woman places a child in its bed and her thin material dress briefly falls off one shoulder and reveals most of her breast (no nipples shown). She stands and you can see the form of her nipple through the thin fabric. A young man is tied up, hanging over a spike pointing straight up at his genitals, and just after he falls down (unharmed) he says "Any longer, uncle..." and his rescuer replies "And the girls would finally be safe from your attentions." After a man and a woman kiss she walk away and drops her robe and we see her fully nude from behind. Woman touches man between his legs with her bow and says "Stand tall."
violence 8/10 Many intense brutal battle scenes, some which involve blood, highly dangerous weapons. PG-13 A family is slaughtered off-screen, but you see blood spray on a wall and the bloodied corpses being dragged off by wolves. PG-13/R The body count is well over a hundred, possibly upwards of 200-300+. PG-13/R There are a few emotional deaths. PG-13 Dead bloodied children are shown on screen, as well as countless other corpses. PG-13 Definitely Very Violent for a PG-13 Film NOTE: The extended (unrated) version is a bit more graphic/bloody than the theatrical version.
profanity Sexual references: Man asks "Did he pull a knife on you?" woman answers "It was just a small prick." Woman says "If only your manhood was as long as your tongue." He responds I could satisfy them in different ways. 1 F-word and 3 uses of shit. 2 uses of bastard (1 of them is very inaudible)
alcohol 2/10 Hercules takes a drugged drink Wine is consumed at parties Seer uses hallucinogens (presumably), ritualistically, and another man asks the seer to at least share.
frightening 8/10 A family is slaughtered and the bloodied corpses are dragged off by wolves Dead children are shown in detail, very disturbing imagery Extreme violence for a PG-13, with blood Very violent for a PG-13 film but still enough to earn a PG-13 rating. 30/50 12+
